Henry A. Allen
The Henry A. Allen project is part of my plan to bring previously unpublished resources to the public. Allen was a Confederate Officer in the 9th Virginia Regiment who was captured at the Battle of Gettysburg and spent the remainder of the war in Union POW camps. While imprisoned, he wrote his wife, Sarah, regularly regarding prison life, his friends, and his children. Click HERE to read his letters.
